SEVEN drivers were arrested in Wiltshire during a month-long summer drink and drug driving campaign.
Almost 400 were stopped and breath tested with 70 positive, refusing or failing to provide a sample.
Wiltshire Police and colleagues in neighbouring Gloucestershire and Somerset and Avon stepped up enforcement during June as part of a nationwide campaign targeting young drivers and those who stayed up late to watch the World Cup.
Insp Steve Cox, Head of Roads Policing, said: "We're pleased that we have been able to reinforce our main message - if you take a chance on drink or drug driving, you will be caught.
He added that the force’s efforts to clamp down on those who drove while under the influence would continue.
