A SCHOOL in Bourton-on-the-Water has celebrated its 25th anniversary with the opening of a brand new, modern maths block.

"The opening of this mathematics block is symbolic of this 25 year journey," he said. "Our success is sustainable because so many school leaders and generations of governors have committed to building this school. We never lost sight of what is most important in helping children achieve their potential."

"This is a fantastic school," he said. "It has had three outstanding Ofsted reports in a row which is an incredible achievement. It is a great privilege to be opening the maths block."

Lady Dunrossil, a governor at the school since it first opened and a member of Gloucestershire County Council for 30 years, said it was a joy to have been invited along to the festivities.

Mr Morgan announced in his speech that she had helped lead this school to become what is is today.

"She carries the gratitude and respect of all," he said.
