VISITORS to the Royal Agricultural University's new Rural Innovation Centre are being invited to take part in an educational charity walk.

The ‘farm walk’ is part of National Countryside Week, running from 14-20 July, which encourages people to ‘Walk a Country Mile’ for the Prince’s Countryside Fund.

As well as being a fun day out it also aims to raise awareness of the importance of the countryside to the UK, and the hard work that goes into continually managing and conserving it.

As an added incentive walkers can ride in a tractor trailer, read information about various parts of the farm or take part in a children’s treasure hunt.

Participants will be given a map of Manor Hill Farm, Harnhill, with a clear route and are welcome to bring a dog if it is kept on a lead.

The suggested donation is £3 per person either on the day, by texting PCF to 70300 or visiting www.princescountrysidefund.org.uk
