FIRST aid charity St John Ambulance is providing 300 places for a picturesque fundraising walk.

The Cotswold Way Challenge will take fundraisers over hills and through parks, showcasing the natural beauty of our area.

There are three routes available to prospective walkers covering a leisurely seven miles, a solid 15 miles and an ambitious 20 miles respectively.

Each walk starts at Prinknash Abbey’s café, at 8am on Saturday September 13.

Regional Fundraising Co-ordinator for the charity Kevin Dickens said: “At St John Ambulance we believe nothing is more tragic than a life lost needlessly.”

“This is a great way of enjoying some of Gloucestershire’s finest countryside and amazing views, as well as helping us save lives.”

The registration fee is £15 per walker, which includes breakfast at the Prinknash Café and a goodie bag with a mini first aid kit.

A family of four can walk for £30 (including two goodie bags and four breakfasts.)

St John Ambulance will provide first aid cover for the event and will run transport back to Prinknash Abbey.
