ALMOST a kilogram of cannabis has been seized by police conducting a drugs warrant in Tewkesbury.
Police at Perry Hill, Tewkesbury on Wednesday July 9 recovered a large number of bags filled with the drug, currently estimated to be worth £6000 - £7000.
A male and female have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug and have been bailed for further enquiries to be made.
PC Adam Chalkley, a newly appointed member of Tewkesbury Safer Community Team, said “This was my first drugs operation and is a great result for the community team.
“I will be working closely with Tewkesbury’s pro-active team on 'Op Tudor' and with their continued assistance and that of the local community I hope for many more positive results.”
