AN APPEAL against the opening of a mail order oil and alcohol business in Aston Down has been dropped and the project approved by Cotswold District Council.
Fine Oils & Ingredients Ltd, to be located at Building 35 Site B, Aston Down, intended to operate between the hours of 6am and 10pm but several residents complained to the council and an appeal was launched.
Residents cited regulations which stipulated that “No commercial goods vehicles shall enter or leave the shire nor shall any machinery be operated or any process carried out outside the hours of 6:00 to 19:00 on Mondays to Saturdays nor at any time on Sundays, Bank or Public Holidays.”
Further conditions applied about vehicular access but the application was amended when these conditions were brought to the applicant’s attention.
Once objectors were informed that the business would comply with the conditions given in the planning consent approved by the Secretary of State all objections were removed and the application was approved.
