VANDALS have targeted vehicles in Coates, smashing windows and denting bodywork using pieces of nearby dry stone walls.

Residents woke on the morning of the 29th to find windows smashed and a blue and white Raleigh bike removed from a property and dumped on a car windscreen elsewhere in the village.

Large pieces of stone prised from nearby walls were used to destroy windscreens and side windows of several cars.

The vehicles damaged include a Green Suzuki Vitara, a black Subaru Legacy Outback and silver Volvo V40 Estate which were parked on Trewsbury Road and Bathurst Row.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 11pm on Saturday night and the 8am on Sunday morning.
