MISSING lurcher Skippy has been found in Bath after disappearing from Lechlade Marina for over a week.

Distraught owners Ruth Jolly and Paul Clark noticed their six-year-old pet had gone missing from the boat yard on Friday, June 20.

After eight days of searching the area, they received a call from a young couple in Bath saying that Skippy had been found.

"We're absolutely over the moon," said Ruth. "He was very dusty and thin when we found him but he's fine."

Ruth and Paul had offered a £500 reward to see their dog returned home safely. They both do not live locally but often work on their boat in Lechlade.

It was suspected that the dog was stolen and made to take part in hare coursing.

"We are so grateful to have him returned," said Ruth. "It was quite an adventure."
