HUNDREDS of young artists from across then district took part in a competition organised by the Friends of Tetbury Hospital.
Entries were submitted by schools on behalf of their pupils in the competition and then exhibited at the Dolphins Hall Tetbury between May 20 to 21 at the Dolphins Hall, Tetbury.
The competition themes were ‘Remembrance’ for secondary schools and ‘Up, up and away...’ for primary schools.
Tony Gordon, comments exhibition organiser, said: “This competition raises awareness of Tetbury Hospital in communities we don’t normally connect with. Encouraging local children to demonstrate their skills and creativity whilst helping us raise money for an important local charity is good for the community and the Hospital”.
Among the first prize winners were Sophie Hayes, a Westonbirt Preparatory School student, Isobel Wilson of Crudwell Primary School and Scarlotte Blue of Westonbirt School.
