Cyclist taken to hospital with life changing injuries after Cirencester crash
A CYCLIST sustained serious head injuries in a crash with a car in Cirencester yesterday afternoon.
Gloucestershire Police said the A417 London Road at the junction of Cherry Tree Lane was closed after the crash involving a black Land Rover Discovery and a cyclist from Ampney St Peter, which happened at 5.35pm on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old man was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon before being transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains in a critical condition.
The Land Rover driver was not injured in the crash.
Officers have urged anyone with any information about the crash to contact them via 101, quoting incident number 405 of June 24.
