THE owner of a dog that was killed on Cricklade Street in Cirencester has thanked those who helped following the incident.

Charlie, a four-year-old bichon, was killed after a commercial waste lorry ran over him at 9.45am on June 12 outside the Costa Coffee shop.

Kara Sennett, owner of Charlie, said: “The help was fantastic on the day from Halfords, Costa, the public and the police.”

“He ran off because the lorry spooked him and I was swapping his lead to another hand while attending to my daughter that was about to be sick.”
