TWO people have been arrested in connection with the theft of garden machinery valued at around £7,000 from a barn at Minety.
A trailer and an orange Timberwolf 125HB150 woodchipper were taken over night between June 14 and 14 after a padlock was cut.
The woodchipper was later recovered after a resident, who had seen a Malmesbury Police Facebook update, spotted it parked in the town. A man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s were arrested on Monday and bailed for further inquiries.
On the same night another barn was broken into using a similar method and batteries were stolen from tractors along with radiators stored on a shelf.
In nearby Brinkworth a Stihl chainsaw and a JCB hydraulic breaker were taken from a shed over the same period after the padlock was forced off the door.
