WOMEN and girls of Cirencester have just more than one month to sign up for this year's Race for Life.

The event, which takes place at Cirencester Park in July, has already seen women signing up in their hundreds in a battle to beat cancer.

Race for Life is run by women all across the nation every year and raises life-changing amounts of cash for charity Cancer Research UK.

Organisers of the Cirencester event have said they are "chuffed to bits" with the amount of women who have already signed up.

"It's fantastic," said Michelle Leighton. "People are still signing up and it's going well really. More than 80 per cent of places have been filled but there is still time to sign up."

A total of 900 women have signed up to this year's Cirencester five kilometre race and more than 300 have put their names down for the brand new 10 kilometre event.

Race for Life in Cirencester is on July 20 at Cirencester Park. Visit raceforlife.co.uk to sign up.
