CIRENCESTER DIY store Gardiner Haskin's gave away a brand new barbecue worth £250 as part of a competition.

The store held a competition on their last Red Hare Day event, part of the Cirencester festival.

Staff entertained children and adults with face painting, games and competitions throughout the day.

Several weeks later a member of staff picked the lucky winner and arranged for them to pick up their prize.

Red Hare Days are held at the end of every month. Festival organisers unveil new hare models and celebrate the town's festival with games and music.

The Cirencester Hare Festival has seen a drove of five foot, colourful, model hares move into the town. They will go under the hammer at the end of September to raise money for a project organised by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.
