THE team behind this year’s Phoenix Festival is calling to the people of Cirencester for support and donations so the popular music event can go ahead this August.
Festival organiser Clare Bartlett signed up to Crowdfunder, a fundraising website where supporters can back projects for as little as £2.
But if they do not reach their £1,000 target before the deadline on June 14, they will lose all the money pledged so far.
“The whole festival is £15,000 short but that doesn’t count all the donations we’ll receive on the day,” said Clare.
“The Phoenix Festival is a free event and was a huge success last year.”
The Phoenix Festival is due to take place in Cirencester’s Abbey Grounds on August 30-31.
