WILTSHIRE Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson remains in hospital today after being taken ill in Trowbridge on Friday morning.
Mr Macpherson, who is understood to have suffered a suspected heart attack, is currently in a serious but stable condition in the intensive care unit at Bath Royal United Hospital.
A statement from his staff said: “Mr Macpherson’s family have asked us to express their thanks to the many people who have contacted both them and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner giving their best wishes for a speedy recovery.”
A Meet the Commissioner event planned for June 4 at County Hall in Trowbridge will be postponed.
