VISITOR numbers for Cirencester’s Corinium Museum are down 5,000 compared to this time last year.
The figures were announced by Cotswold District Council’s Barry Gibbs, who was responding to enquiries about what was being done to halt the decline in visitors since the attraction was taken over by private company SLM.
Councillor Gibbs said SLM was ahead of the 40,000 target for visitor numbers and last year’s wet weather had caused numbers to spike.
