A FESTIVAL will take place in Cirencester Park as part of a special forces designed extreme endurance event that is happening there this summer.

Registered participants and spectators of Tough Mudder, on August 16 and 17 can enjoy Mudder Fest, which includes live music, alcohol and a number of contests, games and activities.

There will also be a huge party (Après-Mud) that includes a dance floor and a DJ, which is presented by Jagermeister.

It was decided that Mudder Fest will be introduced at all of the Tough Mudder events which are taking place across the UK this summer due to popular demand from entrants.

Sarah Harvey, Senior Vice President of Europe for Tough Mudder which has been running since 2010, said: “We’ve listened to feedback from our Mudders and they told us they wanted more time after the obstacle course to celebrate their achievement and party with new found friends. We agreed, and like all good parties the more the merrier. Mudder Fest will be a great addition to our events.”

The Après-Mud party takes place on Saturday 16 from 5.00pm until 11.00pm,whilst camping will be available throughout the weekend from 4.00pm on Friday, August 15 until 6.00pm on Sunday, August 17.

Bespoke Tough Mudder alcohol will be available throughout the festival courtesy of mud party sponsors Jagermeister and Wild Turkey.

Camping for the weekend costs £30 and includes hot showers, toilet facilities, free parking. Snacks and refreshments will also be available.

The Tough Mudder Cirencester event will be made up of a ten to12 mile obstacle course that has been designed to test all round strength, stamina, determination, and camaraderie.
