HOUSE of Cards star Kevin Spacey dropped in at Malmesbury for Sunday lunch.
The Hollywood actor and artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre, who plays underhand White House politician Francis Underwood in the BAFTA-nominated series, went for a drink at the Whole Hog on Saturday night and then reappeared for a Sunday roast.
Fiona Auty, wife of Malmesbury Brewery founder Richard, spotted him on Saturday night and asked for a picture as he was on his way out. “He was reading, I assume a script. He was with another chap but they didn't speak much as they were concentrating. When they got up to leave we asked him for a picture and he was happy to oblige, but didn't want a fuss.
She told the Standard: “He actually came across shy and humble.”
