AN E-FIT has been released of a man police are hunting for in connection with a lewd act committed in a Tetbury graveyard.

The incident happened in the graveyard at St Mary’s Church, Bath Road, Tetbury at about 2 pm on Monday, May 19.

The victim initially saw a woman with a spaniel fleeing from a man with a small dog resembling a terrier which was on a lead.

Around 20 minutes later, while sitting on a churchyard bench, the victim was approached by the same man who exposed himself to her as he walked past. At this time he was no longer accompanied by his dog.

The man left via the main exit out of the graveyard.

He is described as a white male, in his early 60’s, six foot one or two inches tall, with thin rimmed glasses, short grey or white unkempt hair, and a grey beard. He was wearing dark green chino trousers and a royal blue chino style long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

It is believed he may be a regular dog walker since he appeared to be familiar with the area.
