GLOUCESTERSHIRE Young Carers has received £1,200 towards a project helping young carers and their families.
The group received the amount from law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Charitable Trust to help fund an event involving up to 10 young carers, who all care for a family member affected by substance misuse or mental ill health.
The project not only works with the carers but with their family members too. The trust’s donation will take the young people and their family member to Over Farm where they will enjoy a workshop focusing on healthy food and preparing simple, healthy meals.
