A NEW head of business development has touched down at the Cotswold headquarters of the world’s biggest military airshow.

Suzanne Killick has taken on the role of deputy director business development for the Royal International Air Tattoo.

Suzanne’s background is in event management and she has previously worked for Intel, Cable & Wireless, Chase de Vere and Vodafone as well as organising major events in Barcelona, Berlin and The Netherlands between 2007 and 2012, before returning to the UK and settling in Cirencester.

She says: “I am really looking forward to the challenges of this new role. We have a fantastic opportunity to develop our trade and exhibiting area as the profile of our guests changes.

"We already deliver a spectacular airshow: now we need to build on providing attractive retail, catering and family entertainment so that we have something for everyone.”

RIAT started in 1971 and attracts aircraft and aviation fans from around the globe. It is established as one of the area’s biggest attractions, with over 130,000 visitors attending last year’s show.

Caroline Rogers, commercial director, commented: “It’s great to have Suzanne on the team. With such an iconic event as the Air Tattoo I am sure it won’t be long before she attracts even more brands that want to align themselves with our customers.”

The Air Tattoo is staged annually in support of the RAF Charitable Trust. Tickets for the event are available from airtattoo.com or by calling 0800 107 1940. There is free parking, and all accompanied under-16s go free.
