A MOTORCYCLIST who died at the scene of a crash earlier today near Northleach was a 22-year-old man from Scotland.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened at around 10.45am today, Wednesday, May 21 on the A40 between the Burford and Northleach roundabouts.
The crash involved a bronze Suzuki motorbike, a white LDV Dropside lorry and a silver Adui A6 Estate which were travelling in the Cheltenham direction.
The rider of the Suzuki Motorcycle, a 22 year old male from Scotland, received serious injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other drivers involved were uninjured in the incident.
The road was closed for a number of hours while a police investigation took place.
Any witnesses to the collision who have not already been spoken to by police should contact Gloucestershire Police on 101 and quote incident 156 of 21 May 2014.
