Police are appealing for information after a man committed a lewd act in Tetbury on Monday, May 19.

The incident happened in the graveyard at St Mary’s Church, Bath Road, Tetbury at about 2 pm.

The victim saw a woman with a spaniel fleeing from a man with a small dog resembling a terrier and on a lead.

Then, 20 minutes later, the victim was approached by the same man while sitting on a churchyard bench.

He exposed himself to her as he walked past. At this time he was no longer accompanied by his dog. The man left via the main exit and disappeared.

He is described as a white male, in his early 60’s, 6ft 1 or 2 inches tall, with thin rimmed glasses, short grey or white unkempt hair, a grey beard, wearing dark green chino trousers, a royal blue chino style long sleeved shirt, with the sleeves rolled up.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 457 of May 19.
