A HOUSE in Gloucester was attacked in the early hours of Sunday, May 18 and police are appealing for information.

The resident, a woman, was in bed when unknown offenders sprayed offensive graffiti on the front of the house and threw several petrol bombs at the back of the house on Ashgrove Avenue between 2.15am and 2.30am.

The offenders are believed to have been riding bikes and wearing dark headgear.

No-one was injured.

Detective inspector Gavin Webb said: "We're keeping an open mind as to what the motive for this was but clearly there could have been a far worse outcome.

"Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or with any information should call 101 straight away, quoting incident 51 of May 18.
