THE 'right' boot believed to be Sian O'Callaghan's has been discovered at a pond in Ramsbury as part of an ongoing search.

Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) have been conducting searches at a pond in Ramsbury have discovered items they believe belonged to Sian.

A 'left' boot was found at the site on Thursday, May 15.

On Friday, May 16 search teams found the 'right' boot believed to be Sian's.

At about 4pm officers also found a single barrelled shotgun. Detectives are keeping an open mind as to why the gun would be in this location.

All items were found in the pond at the site.

Sian O’Callaghan, 22, from Swindon was abducted and brutally murdered in March 2011.

Searches will continue over the weekend with fingertip searches and a specialist dive team from Avon and Somerset.
