POLICE have arrested a man in connection with four robberies in Swindon.
The 24-year-old was detained after two incidents last night. In one just before 6.30pm a man threatened a member of staff at the Juniper Stores in Haydon Wick with a knife. A struggle followed and the robber fled, but a knife was found at the scene.
A short time later a woman in her 60s was mugged as she walked in Purton Road, Moredon.
They are being linked to robberies at McDonalds on Great Western Way on May 9 and at the Co-Op in Moredon Road on Sunday.
Police are conducting house to house inquiries today but anyone with information is being asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
