A POLICE search was launched after a motorist spotted a man standing in the doorway of a van wearing nothing but stockings and suspenders.
The incident happened on the B4040 between Malmesbury and Charlton at 2.30pm on May 5. A driver reported seeing the white van parked at the side of the road with its sliding door open and a naked man in the back.
He was white and thought to be in his 40s. Police were called but although officers searched, the van had gone.
It comes a month after a man went into a Malmesbury charity shop, stripped off his clothes in the changing room and paraded naked round the store before being told by an assistant to get dressed and then leaving. He was described as white, in his 40s, rounded and flabby.
Sgt Martin Alvis from Malmesbury Police said:”We are not drawing a link between this and the incident in the Cancer Research shop at the moment, but we remain open minded to it.”
