REGISTERING to vote for the European Parliamentary Election on Thursday 22 May 2014 closes on Tuesday 6 May.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on May 7 and those who wish to appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf must apply by 5pm on 14 May.
Cotswold District Council, Local Returning Officer, Nigel Adams, said: “Registering to vote or applying for a proxy or postal vote is quick and easy. Residents can print off a form from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk or telephone 01285 623000. All forms need to be either hand delivered, faxed or sent by post to our Cirencester office before the deadline, as we require a signature on them.”
Nominations for the elections have now closed and the Statement of Parties and Individual Candidates Nominated and Notice of Poll for the South West Region have been published.
