A FAIRFORD seafood business is celebrating 25 years of delivering fresh fish and shellfish direct from the coast to hundreds of pubs and restaurants in the south west.

New Wave Seafood was started in Poulton in 1989 by Tim Boyd. The company grew from just one man and his van to 75 staff serving over 500 customers, six days a week.

Based in Fairford, the business supplies some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in the region. The majority of its staff live within five miles of Fairford to keep the business locally owned and operated.

"Reaching our 25 year milestone is a great achievement that we’re really proud of," said Tim. "Our staff have been crucial to our success, and of course so have our loyal customers who continue to buy from New Wave."

New Wave has grown considerably over the years. In 2004 Tim added a fine food department selling a range of speciality foods including Cotswold game and a selection of dry goods. Four years later he paired up with chef Ben Hogget to open the New Wave Fish Shop in Cirencester.

New Wave will be celebrating its 25 years in business with a number of celebrations over the year, including summer offers, competitions and a gala party.
