LEISURE centres across the Cotswolds have launched a scheme in which buying chocolate eggs this Easter will help improve a person’s fitness.

The Everyone Active centres in Cirencester and Bourton-on-the-Water will give customers a half price family swim or a membership without the joining fee in exchange for a chocolate egg.

After Easter the chocolate hoard will be donated to Winston’s Wish, a charity that deals with children suffering bereavement.

Andrea North, general manager of the Cirencester leisure centre, said the all the staff were looking forward to helping children who are going through difficult times.

“If we can bring even the smallest of smiles to these children this Easter, then it will be very worthwhile,” she said.

Sales consultant Laura Sudworth said: “It’s important for the leisure centre to promote a healthy lifestyle and this allows us to do that while helping a really good charity.”

Easter eggs can be brought to the Everyone Active leisure centres at anytime between Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21.
