A MAN who stripped naked in a Malmesbury charity shop could be a serial offender.

Wiltshire Police issued an e-fit image of the streaker today as it emerged that there had been similar incidents in other parts of the country.

In one case a week after a “rounded and flabby” man went into the changing room at the Cancer Research branch in the high street and walked out again without a stitch on, police were called to another charity shop in rural Derbyshire to investigate an identical report.

Sgt Martin Alvis from Malmesbury Police said the e-fit was believed to be a good likeness of the man who exposed himself in the Cancer Research shop.

There had been no further information following the incident, which happened shortly after 5pm on April 3. “I’m hoping it will jog someone’s memory and spur them into giving us a call.”

The man was not recognised as a local was in his 40s, of stocky build and 5ft 6in to 5ft 8ins tall, with brown and grey hair in a short back and sides style. He wore a pink or purple teeshirt, grey joggers and dark trainers.

In the Derbyshire incident on April 10, a man described as having a round face went into a Salvation Army shop in the small market town of Ashbourne just before 4pm while a schoolgirl was there.

An elderly volunteer managed to shield her view of the man when he left the changing room and started wandering around the shop naked.

It was thought to be the second time the same man had targeted the store.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: “A witness has told officers that the man walked into the store, straight into the changing room and then out again without any clothes.

“When he was wearing clothes, they were blue trousers, but not jeans, and a white t-shirt.

“The witness said he had a round face.”

Anyone with information about the man is urged to call Malmesbury Police on 101.
