REBECCA Ferguson has been announced as the final headline act for this summer’s Forest Live series of concerts, taking place at Westonbirt Arboretum.
Rebecca who is often regarded as the most naturally talented singer to emerge from The X Factor TV series, will perform at the Aboretum with guests on Sunday, June 22.
The Forest Live dates follow on from her UK Spring tour which is being well received.
Rebecca's million selling debut album ‘Heaven’ launched her in a blaze of critical acclaim in 2011.
The album went on to become double platinum in the UK and generated hit singles ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ and ‘Teach Me How To Be Loved’.
As with ‘Heaven’, Rebecca co-wrote her new album, ‘Freedom’, working mainly with new collaborators including Jarrad Rogers, with whom she wrote 5 tracks.
As well as Jarrad, she also worked with Mr. Hudson, Matt Hales, Toby Gad and TMS, and regular collaborator Eg White.
‘Freedom’ has provided Rebecca with another Top 10 release which has already achieved gold in album sales and features the singles ‘I Hope’ and ‘All That I’ve Got’.
Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission, bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship.
Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forests for both people and wildlife.
With everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities, the concerts are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, April 4 from the Forestry Commission box office online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
