THE company which runs a water park in the Cotswolds where a teenager drowned nearly four years ago has appeared in court charged with health and safety offences.
Kajil Devi, 15, from London died while playing in the water at Cotswold Country Park and Beach in 2010.
WM Active Ltd, which owns the park, is being prosecuted by Cotswold District Council which says the company failed to make a “suitable and sufficient” assessment of risks to people using the beach.
The company did not enter a plea during the short hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Monday, March 17.
It was decided that the case be sent to Gloucester Crown Court for a hearing on Friday, April 11 at 10am.
