A HAMMER covered in blood was found inside a burnt out car in Blockley following a spate of vandalism attacks.

Police were called to the village late on Sunday, March 9 after reports that the windows on several cars parked close to Station Road had been smashed.

They were then called back two hours later when one of the damaged cars was set on fire.
After the fire was out, police found the bloodied tool in the driver’s footwell.

Dogs were brought in to search the scene after two people were seen running away from the area, however no-one was caught.

Officers have suggested that the offender or offenders will have significant cuts to their arms or hands.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 437 of March 9.
