A PET dog has died after a collision on the A429 yesterday (Tuesday, March 4).
An elderly woman was taken to hospital after the three vehicle collision at the Chelworth crossroads, south of Kemble and towards Crudwell.
She had to be cut free from her Renault Clio by firefighers and taken to Great Western Hospital but has not suffered any serious injuries. Two dogs were in the car with her at the time of the crash. A vet attended the incident as one of the dogs died at the scene and the other suffered serious injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was blocked from both ways for around three hours.
The incident was reported to Wiltshire Police at 11.55am and involved a Renault Clio, a Subaru Forester and a BMW.
The drivers of the two other vehicles were not injured from the crash.
Police are currently investigating the collision. Anyone who saw anything or knows anything about the incident should call Wiltshire Police on 101.
