A MAN from Moreton-in-Marsh has remanded in custody after appearing in court in connection with the murder of an Oxford teenager who died after being stabbed.

Connor Tremble was repeatedly stabbed at his flat in Fairacres Road, Oxford on Thursday, February 13.

The 17-year-old was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital but he never recovered and his life support machine was switched off two days later.

Grant Clemens, 23, of Stockwells in Moreton-in-Marsh, was at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, February 28 after being charged with assisting an offender.

He did not enter a plea and is due to appear again for a plea and case management hearing on Friday, May 30.

William Blencowe, 20, of Oxford Road in Banbury has been charged with Connor’s murder.

Mr Clemens is accused of providing Blencowe with clothes in order to impede the prosecution.

A post-mortem examination did not confirm the exact cause of Connor’s death although it is believed that he was stabbed numerous times in his chest, legs and hands.
