MALMESBURY is back under a flood alert less than two days after it was lifted for the first time two months.
The Environment Agency issued the warning for the Upper Avon and tributaries last night after a forecast of heavy rain overnight. River levels are rising and expected to peak at Brokenborough, the Fosse Way at Sherston, Great Somerford and Dauntsey Brook this afternoon.
The last flood alert, raised on December 18 was cancelled on Wednesday.
