A MAN had to be cut free from his car following an early morning collision involving two vehicles on the A429 between Northleach and Bourton-on-the-Water.

He was taken by ambulance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where he was being treated for neck and back pain.

Another person, travelling in a different vehicle, was described as "walking wounded" and treated by paramedics at the scene.

The emergency services received the 999 call at exactly 7.42am on Friday, February 7.

Two fire crews from Northleach and Stow-on-the-Wold attended the incident along with one ambulance and a paramedic travelling in a rapid response vehicle.
