A MAN was taken to hospital after his car left a busy slip road before flipping over and landing in nearby flood water.
Emergency services, including the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, were called to the incident at the turnoff for Marston Meysey on the northbound side of the A419 at around 12.40pm on Thursday, February 6.
Fire crews had to cut the male driver free from his smoking gold Rover 25 GTi before ambulance crews took him to Swindon’s Great Western Hospital.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police described the man’s injuries as “not life threatening”.
The air ambulance landed at the scene but was not used for transporting the male to hospital.
Police closed the slip road while work was carried out to recover the vehicle.
