A CCTV image has been released by police, of a woman wanted in connection with the use of a stolen credit card in Cheltenham.

The Barclaycard was in a purse, along with £7 in cash, a driving licence and other cards, taken from a bag on 6 January, 2014.

The owner believes the purse went missing either when she was at her local supermarket, or at her workplace at Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy.

Shortly afterwards, she was contacted by someone pretending to be from Barclays Bank who tricked her into disclosing her security details.

Subsequently, £2,500 was withdrawn on her card from Barclays Bank in Cheltenham and a £5,000 loan was taken out in her name - £4,590 of which was withdrawn from a Barclays branch in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Police are keen to speak to a woman captured on CCTV at Barclays Bank in Cheltenham whom they believe can help with their enquiries.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 220, of the 9/2/14.
