THE Standard is searching for a business or person working in Cirencester who makes makes their customers feel special.

The Cirencester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2014 was launched last month and the Standard is sponsoring the Customer Service category for the fourth year running.

We are asking readers to nominate a Cirencester business or individual within a business who goes that extra mile to make customers feel valued.

This award merits a business for its customer-driven approach and is highly sought-after by businesses in the town because it is voted solely by the public.

Nominations and entries can be made for a restaurant, plumber, solicitor or any other business based within the GL7 postcode.

Last year’s awards saw Dyer Street’s fruit and vegetable shop The Market Garden take the runner up prize. The overall winner was Ashley Jeffries at the Corinium Hotel who was described as “helpful, polite and sincere – a worthy winner.” Other winners from previous years include French restaurant Le Beaujolais and cake decorating shop Sugar Box.

The Cirencester Business Awards 2014 was launched in January at the Corinium Museum. Other awards this year include Green Business of the year, Business Person of the year, and Team of the year.To nominate a business or person for the Customer Service Award, email mar@wiltsglosstandard.co.uk with the name of the person or business you are nominating and the reason for nominating them. Alternatively look out for the entry coupon in the Standard which will be published next week and subsequent weeks.

The closing date for entries is March 28 and the top three entries, with the most nominations, will be informed by May 1.

The winner and runner up will be announced at the awards dinner and presentation on Friday, May 16 at the Royal Agricultural College.
