THE Malmesbury area remains on flood alert today with river levels climbing in response to heavy rainfall.
Up to 20mm of rain is expected today and the water is rising at Brokenborough, Sherston, Fosse Way, Great Somerford and Dauntsey.
The current gale force winds are also forecast until lunchtime.
