POLICE are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Gloucester at the end of last week.

A 33-year-old man was walking with friends on Stratton Road between 10.20pm and 10.35pm on Thursday, January 30 when four men stepped out from behind a car and attacked him.

During the attack the man was punched and scratched and a knife was brandished by the attackers.

He suffered several minor knife wounds to his arm and back before managing to get free with his friends.

He was treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and discharged shortly afterwards.
