THE new Force Brewery has taken Cirencester by storm bringing people in to come and taste beer and enjoy beer-making events.

After leaving the Army, Charles Malet returned to Gloucestershire and took a course at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) where he learned how to brew.

In August last year he took over a unit on the Global Business Park on Wilkinson Road and, after much preparation, Force Brewery was born. “My idea was to create a small brewery with interaction between the brewer and drinker. It’s a business doing something different with beer,” he said.

Force Brewery allows people to come and taste beer, take it away to drink and enjoy brewing events.

The first brew of four per cent Golden Bitter Ale called Yankee Zulu is already available for customers to taste and buy.

Force Brewery is open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2.30-5.30pm and encourages customers to pop in and enjoy a drink, or enjoy a carry-out service from two-pint deals to 72-pint party kegs.
