PUPILS studying journalism at a Cirencester school welcomed Standard reporter Megan Archer to the classroom last week to hear what it is like to be a journalist.
The Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Cirencester Primary School have been studying “making the news” this term and had prepared a list of questions to quiz Megan with.
She was invited to the school by her father, Andrew Archer, who works there as a Year 5 teacher.
The pupils discovered how varied journalism is, how reporters find the news, and the various places they visit to carry out interviews.
