Ann Edwards headteacher Stephen Richardson
THE headteacher of Ann Edwards Primary School in South Cerney, Stephen Richardson, has died.
Mr Richardson suffered a heart attack on Saturday, January 25.
Chair of Governors Darren Beecher announced the news on the school's website yesterday evening.
"We are all devastated by this news, but rest assured that the governors and staff are working together to ensure that the children and staff of the school will be supported and cared for at this very difficult time," said Mr Beecher.
"Our thoughts are with Mr Richardson's family at this sad time"
The school is open today (Monday) and staff held a full school assembly first thing this morning.
