ONE of Cirencester’s most popular attractions has been awarded second place in an award category specifically for tourism in the Cotswolds.
New Brewery Arts, located in Cirencester’s Brewery Court, was awarded the silver medal in the annual Access for All tourism awards.
Ali Russell, chief executive officer at New Brewery Arts, said: “As winners of the silver Access for All award we were expected to demonstrate exceptional customer service to all, be distinctive, and to stand out.
“We were also expected to show commitment to excellence in accessibility, quality, customer care and business practices. I am really delighted that all the hard work we put in to encourage the widest possible access to our programme and facilities have been recognised.”
New Brewery Arts was set up with the core aim of enriching the life of the community by providing facilities that are open to the widest possible public access.
Annie Gould, fundraiser at New Brewery Arts, said: “We hope this award will encourage more people visit us and Cirencester.
“We also hope it will help the charity to access funding to continue our work with those in the community with physical or other barriers and provide more opportunities to take part in the many wonderful creative activities that we have to offer.”
