A MUCH loved Chedworth village pub which has uncertainty over its future closed for refurbishment last week.
The Seven Tuns pub closed on Friday, January 10 following the expiry of manager Paul Greenwood’s contract.
Criterion Asset Management, who administer the pub on Queen Street, was unable to confirm when it would open again.
The pub, which is owned by the Wellington Pub Company, has not had a tenant ever since Young's Brewery left last year, and since then managers have been brought in temporarily to run it.
The Seven Tuns was in the spotlight last year as Chedworth Parish Council registered it under a government ruling following residents’ fears that it would be sold to property developers.
Under the ruling the community have six months to form a bid to buy it if goes back on the market.
Chedworth Parish Council are setting up a temporary bar at Chedworth Village Hall this Friday, February 17.
The bar will be open from 6.30pm.
