STUDENTS at a school in Bourton got the chance to turn clay models into digital film characters after a trip to a Cirencester art gallery.
Eight pupils from the Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water got involved in a five week animation project with Hannah Brady at the New Brewery Arts (NBA) in Cirencester.
They created their own avatar characters out of clay, named them, developed story lines and created story boards and animated films with them.
The final films were shown at a celebration screening in the New Brewery Arts theatre with parents, teachers, funders and the NBA director attending to watch.
Head of art and design at the Cotswold School, Nicky Hannam, said: “This project has nurtured skills and interests these young people already have and has also inspired them to stretch themselves further.
“It has been an amazing experience and one they will treasure for a lifetime.”
